Jersey Girl

It's official. It's closing to a week now. I have moved, unpacked, assembled, unassembled, drove up, drove down, bought, and returned items within the past week to finally say that I have "settled" in. My room looks like it's finally being inhabited by a human being.

Thankfully, my roommate does not appear to be a psycho (you never know about craigslist, people!). Actually, she's pretty sweet. She cooked me my first meal here and we chatted over some tea in our "tea room". I'm a firm believer in things happening for a reason, and it already seems to me that we were meant to be. She's an established photographer for The Star Ledger, a Newark newspaper, and has many friends in the same industry. Not only would it be great for networking and connections, but also to get some ins and outs of the field. I met a few of her friends this past weekend. All accomplished women in the Media industry. One woman used to work as a reporter for The Oregonian and has ventured off to marketing/advertising for Samsung. Another woman is a writer for a Korean media magazine in Manhattan, and another is a set designer for a theater company in Brooklyn.

It's an incredible thing to witness first-hand how some things just fall into place. My choice for college was the same feeling and now so is this next chapter in my life. I can't wait for the introduction to begin on this chapter! :D

Now, without further ado, the "grand" tour of mi casa:
