The Real Sicko

So this past weekend I watched the new Michael Moore movie, Sicko. Granted, you have to be cautious with his movies and take things with a grain of salt, I still respect his alternative journalistic approach to bring certain issues to the forefront of what America should re-evaluate. To welcome the tired, sick, hungry, and poor is what America used to stand for, yet here she is denying just those for what? What else but $$$.

Anyways, after watching the movie...I realized 4 things:
1). It's depressing to know that our parents aren't and will not be given the proper treatment or care they need as they hit a certain age when more medical risks will increase as their health decreases, due to their coverage, premium, co-pay, etc.
2). Having no benefits right now...I'm not really missing out on all that much, even if I had any, but without it, I really have no hope to getting better if I were to have a sickness. At least with insurance, you'd have that slight glimpse of hope to being cured even if it will cost you thousands, regardless.
3). The Healtcare system, like every other American system, is evil and corrupt.
4). This is just another incentive to get my butt to live/work in the EU.
