Beyond fashion and technology, there's a new growing trend in South Korea. Apparently it's death--or rather, suicide. An environment that stresses on accomplishment and has an intense amount of pressure to succeed through grades, colleges, jobs, etc. has now taken a greater, and now more apparent, toll on their people. Blogs and the Internet have given people a means to encourage and communicate with others who are also committing suicide. It also doesn't help that the culture they live in is instantaneous and everything is near accessible. In a sense, they've created a support group (oh, the irony) for others wishing to end their lives. The number of suicide deaths has increased with a startling growth spurt. Like mullets and the 80s..a death in some trends is needed here.
